Northvolt Battery Systems has an exciting job offer for an Internal Logistics manager to join our passionate team in Stockholm.
Battery Systems at Northvolt designs and produces high performance modular battery products and solutions to customers in the Industrial, Energy Storage and Automotive business segments. The Headquarter and Prototype Lab is located in Stockholm, and production is in Gdansk, Poland.
Battery Systems is entering an exciting growth phase and urgently need to strengthen the team in our Prototype Lab in Stockholm.
As Internal Logistics Manager, you will be one of the first man on the ground of a logistics team. You will start to build up the logistics operation at our new facility from scratch. You will be part of hiring based on the need and then overseeing the team of Warehouse coordinators and will be in charge of all internal logistics processes in the Prototype Lab. At the beginning your work will be both operational and strategic. You will work on implementing processes, improving the collaboration between the Manufacturing team and the Supply Chain and Logistics teams and will also be responsible for proactive safe operations together with team and work with continuous improvements of safety and 5S.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Helping the team with daily operations - if possible even jump on the forklift when needed
Creating structures from scratch and making sure that work is getting done
Internal logistics set up and optimization in collaboration with the prototype manufacturing and the supply chain and logistics team to reduce unnecessary transportation and movements.
Establishing the Standard Operational Processes (SOPs) and deploy clear Work Instructions. Optimizing a lean handling of components and finished products with JIT management both for inbound and outbound and create processes for inventory management.
Hiring and managing efficiently the Warehouse and Logistics Coordinators
Daily improvements to ensure high level of Safety and Quality within own area.

Minimum of bachelor’s degree (preferred) with focus on logistics, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering
Three years or more, of relevant experience within high volume production and planning
Proven leadership skills in a relevant area
Forklift driving license is a plus
Fluency in English
Good computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ERP-systems and MS in general)
Highly organized and result-driven
Ability to set clear targets, plan and execute
Obtain a "can do" attitude
