Marketing business function is responsible for guiding prospects & customers throughout their journey with Basware. Through providing thought leading insights, practical advice and a roadmap for automation, in partnership with our Sales function, we enable organizations to simplify operations, spend smarter and drive the transformation of their Finance & Procurement functions. The Senior Specialist, Partner Marketing is responsible for managing internal and external communications supporting Basware’s channel business. Our Partner strategy is critical to the organizations growth ambitions and we work with an extensive network of partners, globally and regionally. You will work with Advisory firms, value added re-sellers (VAR’s) and technology partners that deliver both our own and joint innovative solutions, where we “sell-with” and “sell-through” to customers and prospects.

Closely collaborating with the Senior Manager, Partner Marketing this role is responsible for the communication, integration and execution of corporate campaigns and channel marketing programs including product launches, company announcements, enablement, lead generation, co-marketing activity and events. This role will participate in the development of channel communication plans and assets to ensure global alignment of messaging and strategies to drive impactful results and business outcomes, aligned to our partnering strategy and ambitions.


The Senior Specialist, Partner Marketing will report to the VP, Product & Partner Marketing and work in a global team consisting of Product Marketing, Content Strategy and Partner Marketing as well as being closely aligned with the Global Business Development and Alliances team (BD&A). You will work day-to-day and take direction on projects and workload from your manager, but also be expected to manage and prioritise your own schedule based on plans that align to the business’ needs.


  • Develop plans for timely, effective, and consistent internal and external communication aligned to our partner strategy and objectives.
  • Ensure planned activity makes optimum use of the available marketing budget, and gives ROI alongside the business results we strive for
  • Determine the appropriate partner communications strategy for campaigns and programs ensuring alignment between worldwide stakeholders (BD&A and Enablement, Product Marketing, Field Marketing and Sales), with a particular focus on North America
  • Execute internal and external marketing communication plans that you have developed for key partner initiatives, campaigns, and product/solution introductions and announcements.
  • Work closely with Global Partner Managers (who sit in the BD&A team) to develop marketing activity that support their goals and objectives
  • Work directly with our Partners’ marketing teams (Advisory, VAR’s and Technology) to develop joint go-to-market plans, and build direct relationships in doing so.
  • Support the planning and execution of product launches for partner education across the global Partner teams.
  • Alignment with other global marketing teams such as Brand, Digital, Product, Field, PR, Analyst Relations and Global / Growth functional teams
  • Measure and track the impact of our partner marketing activity to ensure we are tracking to agreed output / KPI’s, and to continuously enhance and optimise programmes.
  • Document and support best-practices on partner communication process, governance and cadence and share with the wider marketing organization.
  • Selecting and organizing partner events and co-sponsorship opportunities with our partners
  • Develop and execute on internal and external partner communication vehicles including:

    • Newsletters

    • Social platforms

    • Digital (including website)

    • Webinars, Virtual (or F2F) events & roundtables

    • Case Studies, references, success stories

    • Launches/Announcements

    • PR/AR

  • Experience in working within a SaaS organisation with a background in partner / channel marketing.
  • Experience in shaping, developing and executing on partner / channel marketing strategies.
  • Experience in the use of analytics to measure and analyze marketing impact.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed, globally dispersed organization.
  • Ability to manage vendors and 3rd party partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; especially writing skills.
