API Engineer - Financial Services

Capgemini is looking for API Developers/ Designers, technical analysts and architects with experience and/or interest in developing business-critical applications for the Financial Services industry. Your challenges include back-end, front-end solutions.

You will support our customers in analyzing, designing, implementing, and testing solutions in national and international projects, in line with your ambitions.

In collaboration with your Project Manager, you will be responsible for the quality of the solution you develop.

As an API developer consultant, you will manage the scope and quality of your own development activity, coach other developers on challenging missions or assume responsibility for a team of developers while remaining responsible of the overall integration of the solution.

Education

  • Bachelor or Master's degree or equivalent through relevant experience

Technical expertise

Sound experience in software engineering and development

Strong knowledge in API design is mandatory

Good knowledge of

  • Spring, Spring boot

  • Microservices setup

  • Databases

  • Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)

  • Node.js

  • JavaScript, Typescript,

  • Angular, React, VueJS

  • HTML5/CSS3

  • General best practices and design patterns

  • REST architecture experience

  • API standards: Swagger/OAS/RAML/Blueprint/WADL

  • Methodologies: SCRUM, UML, Agile, Application Design, Development life cycle

  • Knowledge of a mocking framework is an asset

  • Automated testing knowledge is an asset

  • Knowledge in application performance: optimize, profile, tweak, …

  • Networking knowledge: Routers, Firewalls, reverse proxies, …
