Sales business function is responsible for growing Basware's cloud revenue via new customer acquisition and by driving expansion within a satisfied customer base. Through customer-centric selling and collaborative account management we lead prospects & customers through the buying process with Basware, leveraging sales platforms including CRM, CPQ and CLM that support managing the sales cycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the Basware software sales life cycle from lead generation, pipeline building, forecasting and closing net new accounts to companies with annual revenue greater than $250M
  • Develop and manage marketing and lead generation activities within the overall marketing framework
  • Build and manage an opportunity pipeline large enough to support annual revenue targets
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively with the broader sales, presales, professional services and marketing teams to systematically develop sales opportunities
  • Be able to demonstrate solution value, key features, and build relationships with the customer’s business at many levels (CXO, Finance & Accounting, Procurement, IT, end-users)
  • Consistently achieve quota

Skills & Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of successful sales track record with experience in enterprise SaaS solution sales
  • Track record of developing value for prospective customers and differentiation for their solution through a consultative sales approach
  • Industry experience with a purchase-to-pay/invoice automation/financial services/payments vendor is a plus
  • Familiarity with selling processes and methodologies where complex solutions are sold to multiple players (Finance & Accounting, Procurement, Sourcing, IT, etc.)

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field preferred

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Passionate, driven self-starter with a stable track record of progressive sales achievement within companies, and increasing responsibility
  • Personable, with strong communication, presentation, selling, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel (according to guidelines)
