About The Role:

Northvolt is looking for a senior engineering professional to lead and integrate teams to ensure success in our battery module and pack production efforts. This role’s primary mission is to facilitate both tactical and strategic discussions around building our manufacturing presence in Gdansk, Poland.

This role demands attention to detail, understanding of manufacturing interfaces, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to bridge an international team across a broad geographic area. This role requires a hands on approach and a strong intuition for manufacturing problem solving.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Build & own the Northvolt Battery Systems manufacturing engineering roadmap across all key functions including product engineering, testing, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, business development, production, etc.

  • Lead strategic and tactical operations discussions with both Stockholm engineering teams and Gdansk production teams.

  • Act as focal integration point for the industrialization and transition of our products from prototype to mass production phase by managing all necessary constraints, workflows, technology, and operational objectives.

  • Measure performance of supply chain & production operations, driving continuous improvement by inspiring team and installing rigor in regular operational forums

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams consisting of process, equipment and manufacturing engineers.

  • Demonstrable experience with battery module/pack manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, or similar industries.

  • Experience in working in international teams.

  • Excellent time management, communication, and ability to work with accelerated programs
