Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Architect

Focus of your role

As a Technical Architect, you are responsible for interpreting client requirements, business processes, and use cases to produce quality technical designs in the implementation, enhancement and support of Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2B centric eCommerce projects. You provide guidance and oversight to development teams to ensure that both the process is followed and the solution that is delivered is consistent with Capgemini development policies and standards.


  • Contribute to scrum team activities to ensure delivery of team goals

  • Build highly collaborative internal and external stakeholder relationships

  • Collaborate and support the sales community during the presales steps

  • Work closely with clients to understand their business and their existing technologies, as well as design a complete solution for the integration, extension or enhancement of the Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2B platform.

  • Be the Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2B subject matter expert, share your knowledge with the team, manage the innovation and competence, and help mentor newer developers.

  • Lead the delivery team

  • Suggest tools, technologies, and best practices to improve performance and site quality.

  • Demonstrate technical development skills (scope technical portion of a project and estimate resource requirements).

Technical qualifications

  • 5 years or more of proven experience in B2B Commerce, Commerce Cloud Pipelines, JS Controllers, Commerce Cloud Einstein. Experience with Storefront Reference architecture (SFRA) is a plus.

  • You have experience in designing SFDC technical and functional architecture.

  • You have shipped large e-commerce projects as part of a cohesive team.

  • You are comfortable developing in multiple languages including: Java, SQL, Javascript, XML, JSON.

  • You have experience in third party systems integrations (SOAP/REST) to payment, OMS, CRM.

  • You are comfortable leading code reviews and mentoring less senior developers to ensure code usage and best practices are maintained for optimization of speed and performance.

  • You are able to deliver compelling presentations, architectural blueprint documents, and requirements-gathering workshops to influence the strategic direction of our projects and leading solution design sessions.

  • You have a strong understanding of the full eCommerce technology ecosystem including Digital Content, PIM, DAM, Payment, Tag Management, Web Analytics, ERP, CRM, OMS, WMS, Fraud Management and more is preferred.

  • You are an expert in Software Development best practices, including source control usage and DevOps (CI/CD).

  • You are a confident presenter, have a flexible approach to working and act on your initiative

  • You have excellent communication skills (English written & spoken on a professional level). Dutch and/or French knowledge is a plus.

  • Cross-Cloud B2B experience for commerce, marketing, service, communities is a big plus


  • Salesforce Accredited B2B Commerce Developer (required)

  • Salesforce Accredited B2B Commerce Administrator (preferred)
