Job Description

As Europe's largest and fastest growing motorcycle-focused online retailer, we are looking to strengthen our IT team with an experienced application development manager.

In this role you will be able to make a real impact on our business, by delivering top notch technology solutions and by driving our transformation towards a more agile operating model.

You will work closely with different business functions, align business and IT objectives and lead the IT team to deliver application solutions in market.

You will be part of a passionate team of 40 IT professionals that operate from 4 different offices in Poland, Sweden and Spain

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Lead an international team of 10-15 professionals across development, quality assurance, architecture and product ownership to deliver end-to-end solutions. The team is based in Szczecin, Poland and Hägersten, Sweden

  • Drive the agile transformation from a development team perspective in cooperation with team members and rest of IT department.

  • Lead the implementation of best-in-class solutions with a specific focus on Price Management, Product Information Management and our Integration Platform, that make up a key element of the Pierce IT landscape

  • Empower and build high-performance team by creating the culture that brings together the passion for information and technology, the dedication to our customers, and the drive for business results

  • Build strong relationships across the business functions, align the team behind common goals and objectives and manage expectations

  • As a leader in Pierce, be the role model for your team and the organization in Pierce Values and the Leadership model

Skills & Requirements

  • You bring 3+ years of leadership experience in IT development and you have a broad experience with agile delivery methodologies and agile transformation

  • As a person you build strong relationships and creates a positive and trust based atmosphere around you

  • You know how to make things happen and have a proven record of change management

  • You have a strong delivery orientation and the ability to communicate the complex in simple terms

  • You set high standards for yourself and for your team and you thrive in a fast paced and rapidly evolving environment, especially in context of working with a distributed team

  • Retail experience is considered a plus and if you're riding a bike than that would be even cooler

  • You are fluent in English both written and spoken
