We are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our brilliant and motivated Solutions Engineering team in New Hampshire / San Francisco / US Remote. In this exciting role you will work closely with and have an immediate impact on the Meltwater customer base.
The solutions we build are fully web-based and offered as a service. The technology portfolio ranges from Angular in the frontend, Node Js in the backend, powered by MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB, ElasticSearch and Kafka. Our applications are deployed on cloud solutions such as AWS, Kubernetes and MongoDB Atlas designed with the principles of microservices in mind. We take great pride in the DevOps mindset and skills that allow us to manage all of these resources as a team.

Design, build and deliver tailored, best-fit solutions for enterprise clients of Meltwater
Be involved in gathering requirements, composing, implementing and integrating User Stories
Define Unit and Integration Tests for the client solutions
Use Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery model for deploying application
Become a technical and product subject matter expert while working on technologies that are used for different requirements for each client
Troubleshoot issues or bugs identified in solutions
Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout all phases of the customer lifecycle - from pre-sale through ongoing usage - to drive new opportunities, onboard customers, educate on best practices and ensure customer objectives are met
Support product development activities through understanding and communication of end user needs and requirements, product testing, proof of concept development and new product build/deployment.
Interface and collaborate with other Engineering, Product, Support and Customer Success teams in Meltwater to build solutions aligned with the overall Meltwater vision
Design MockUps or Proof of Concepts from high level requirements
Give technical demonstrations, both internally and to the client to showcase POCs or products developed
Document project details to both handover internally and also onboard clients seamlessly
Actively initiate and participate in knowledge sharing sessions
Keep up to date with latest technology developments, motivate team and projects to use the same
Required Skills and Experience
3-4 years experience focussed on customer-solution / consulting role, with a strong emphasis on understanding customer needs and solution development
Masters or Bachelor degree in a related discipline
Strong knowledge of Node JS, Angular, Typescript, MySQL, MongoDB or similar full stack technologies
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills – ability to interact with other Engineering teams, Sales and clients
Strong technical presentation skills
A strong analytical thinker with the ability to propose solutions and identify user stories based on requirements and technically implement them
Experience with building solutions using an agile model
Ability to handle multiple projects - Comfortable working within a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment within tight deadlines.
Strong documentation skills
CX / UI Skills and design – understanding of what makes a strong solution an attractive, useable and “sticky” solution
Flexibility to accommodate possible travel, including internationally
Exposure to AWS concepts, Docker, Drone, Terraform, Kubernetes, Kafka is desirable
Experience working with social data and social applications such as Twitter API, Facebook pages, etc
Experience of performance improvement in large scalable applications
Experience with continuous integration
Must be authorized to work in the United States
