Do you want to be part of shaping the media of tomorrow? We are looking for a talented UX designer to join our team.
The media landscape is rapidly changing. User revenue is becoming increasingly important for our newspapers. Our mission is to create products that convert unknown users into paying subscribers, and make them stay with us. Hence, we are on the lookout for a skilled UX designer to join our team, and help drive the user experience vision and execution of exciting new product features.
Today there are multiple subscription and billing platforms in Schibsted News Media. Consumer Business Technology's goal is to enable a sustainable business model for our consumer business through one common, modern platform.
As a UX designer in Consumer Business Technology, you work closely with stakeholders, product and tech teams in all phases of product development from research, prototyping, design, through to user testing. Our products are facing both our end users and our Schibsted’s employees. This makes for a challenging and exciting role, where you as a designer will create products that cater to a wide audience with differences in needs.
In this role you will:
Help define the user model and user interface for new and existing products and features in Consumer Business Technology.
Create new designs (e.g., user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes) and communicate design internally.
Conduct user research and take actions on the insights.
Collaborate with product management and design leadership to understand and prioritize the product roadmap.
Participate in the broader Schibsted UX community - contributing your knowledge and fostering collaboration.
Be a part of a diverse and highly qualified team of 50 at Consumer Business Technology in distributed teams in Oslo, Stockholm and Krakow.
We are looking for a designer who can:
Uncover what our customers are thinking & what they need, and use those insights to design best-in-class solutions.
Lead concept ideation and iteration with sketches, wireframes, and prototypes with a team of product managers, software engineers and stakeholders.
Design usable solutions to complex interactions and workflows.
Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to stakeholders and the teams that will be implementing them.
Work collaborative with cross-functional teams.
Iterate quickly and design within an agile development process.
We believe you:
Have 3+ years experience working with intermediate / complex interaction design projects for web and mobile.
Have experience in all fields of UX, from research and usability testing to product creation, design, and prototyping.
Are a positive person and with a can-do attitude.
Master the tools you need to create great experiences. We use Figma for UI. Additional Adobe CS suite skills is a plus.
Ideally have some HTML and CSS skills, or at least knowledge about how code impacts the design you create.
Can prioritize projects, communicate progress, and deliver on time
For this position we value strong interaction design skills over visual aesthetic skills. We are looking for a designer eager to create highly functional application user interfaces.
We can offer you:
A unique opportunity to learn a lot about designing and running a successful subscription business for millions of users.
The opportunity to play a critical part in empowering Schibsted businesses with a sustainable business model for user revenue.
A team culture where we encourage ourselves and others to try, learn and succeed.
Wonderful colleagues and a high performing team.
Schibsted UX Community of almost 50 across Oslo and Stockholm. The UX community has regular meetups where we grow and learn together.
Flexible working hours, and the equipment you need to work comfortably remote, and a return to new modern offices when COVID-19 guidelines permit.
Employee Shares Saving Plan.
