We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our rapidly growing Sales Team. In this hybrid role you will be tasked with driving and managing the technical evaluation stage of the sales cycle, working together with the sales team as a key technical advisor and product advocate. Utilising a blend of technical creativity and business acumen, you will illustrate the value that Mentimeter as a product can provide to our Enterprise customers.

To succeed as a Sales Engineer at Mentimeter, you must be able to engage and articulate product positioning to both business and technical users. You will need to identify potential technical challenges of assigned accounts and assure customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales cycle.

Through a combination of technical know-how and strong interpersonal skills, you will provide advice and support for various stakeholders (sales, product, legal) within Mentimeter. We are putting a lot of focus on our Enterprise offering and we need someone who will be highly involved in the collaboration between Sales and Product. This is a relatively unique role that will likely require a candidate who can thrive and grow in a hybrid setup/role.

You will:

  • Support and educate the sales team with technical (security assessments) and questions related to privacy
  • Own the technical and privacy evaluation stage during the procurement process with customers
  • Collaborate with our product department and our Legal Counsel on enterprise customers needs and challenges
  • Display Mentimeter’s business value from a technical perspective in customer interactions and meetings
  • Own our internal FAQ for security and privacy related questions
  • To some extent assist sales with configuring and troubleshooting SSO (SAML2.0) and other future implementations for our enterprise clients

Skills & Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working in a hybrid sales/implementation/product management role
  • Has experience working in a customer-facing role
  • Can handle many stakeholders at the same time, both internal and external
  • Can take ownership of own backlog by being transparent and able to prioritize based on business value
  • Understands the customer’s needs and has the ability to translate said needs into a business specification or requirement
  • Enjoys participating and contributing to customer calls. You should feel comfortable communicating with various types of stakeholders (commercial, technical, legal)
  • Can be efficient and find ways to scale yourself. The sales team is growing rapidly and will probably be close to 80 people by the end of the year
  • A plus if you have a good understanding of data privacy (GDPR or similar regulation)

Not required:

You don’t have to know Swedish (we are an English-first organisation, daily work is carried out in English and the Mentimeter team currently boasts over 20 different nationalities!).
