The Schibsted Sports Platform team caters for coverage of most live sports within the Schibsted universe. With its key products VGlive.no and Aftonbladet Målservice, it’s the go-to destination for more than 1,5M unique visitors every week, peaking at more than 600.000 daily users during large events.

We have a portfolio of web apps, iOS app, coverage management tool and APIs. Together they deliver live sports to the Norwegian and Swedish market every day, 365 days a year.

Our challenge in the year to come is to evolve the products and create even more engaging experiences and explore adjacent product opportunities.

We’re looking for a Product Designer with a deep understanding of interaction, usability, and visual design principles. You should also be comfortable with UX research methods and how to take action on findings. Someone who has excellent communication skills, a UX evangelist with a proven ability to work successfully with product and engineering. You are passionate about design, constantly seeking new solutions and pushing our team and products forwards - and at the same time being pragmatic in your perception of UX, balancing your field of knowledge with input from tech and business. Would be great if you are sports enthusiast.

You will be spending most of the time on and be responsible for the product design of the Sports Platform and work in close collaboration with your product and tech colleagues in the product team.

You will also be part of a larger UX-team all working on different products in our central media product organization. In the team we will grow as specialists and share knowledge, bounce ideas, give each other design feedback and solve user problems together.

All designers are also part of an even larger design team and in this group, we hold larger UX gatherings, run collaborative design critique sessions and meet up for social events.

About you:

  • are comfortable working with UX on a conceptual level as well as digging into the details of pixel perfection

  • are able to reflect on design ideals vs. pragmatic product development

  • strive to understand needs and perspectives from multiple angles - design, engineering, management

  • listen - reflect - communicate - act - evaluate

  • maintain a holistic approach to user experience

  • have several years of experience within the field of User Experience

  • have excellent communication skills
