We are building a modern, friendly and diverse product-first tech company based in Stockholm and now, we are looking for a junior Legal Counsel to join our team.
As a junior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of legal support and knowledge to various aspects of the business. You will work closely with our General Counsel (GC) in owning and developing legal processes. The right candidate for this role is someone who thrives in an environment where there’s a lot of autonomy and freedom, seizes opportunity to drive meaningful results, and is excited to help us build our legal infrastructure from the ground up!
You will:
- draft and review contracts and other business documents with suppliers and customers such as purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements and supply agreements - meaning also negotiate these contracts and handle the negotiations (under the supervision of the GC);
- respond to questions and inquiries from other groups within the company or assigned by the GC in regards of legal matters of all kinds;
- help out with internal legal education and training;
- stay up-to-date with privacy legislation and assist our other teams within for example sales and marketing by answering privacy related questions and negotiate data processing agreements;
- help build a scalable and business minded legal platform for the organization.

Skills & Requirements
We believe you have:
- a law degree (preferably Swedish, but law degrees from other countries will be considered too);
- previous work experience from a legal role within a company or a law firm (law firm is a plus);
- strong organization, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills;
- ability to work well with others as well as independently in a fast pace environment, where you make your own decisions and sometimes without 100% guiding;
- business level knowledge of English in speaking and writing, with excellent drafting skills; and
- interest in tech and the international start-up/scale-up scene.
Not required:
You don’t have to know Swedish (we are an English-first organisation, daily work is carried out in English and the Mentimeter team currently boasts over 20 different nationalities!).
