To continue to help our teams understand our users even more effectively, we are expanding our Data Analytics team with an Analytics Engineer.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with teams across all departments to enable better use of our data. You will be a key member in the Data Analytics team, making sure we can use our data to its full extent and ensuring we have good practices in place for future growth. As such you will be developing our data models and data quality assurance and support data warehouse and data pipeline development as well as being a key stakeholder in collaborating with all different teams to ensure maximum data-usage efficiency across Mentimeter, through our BI systems and data education.
We work in small, independent, self-organizing teams. With a large interest across the whole organisation to become more data-driven, we value someone who enjoys optimising data knowledge and is incredibly collaborative.
What you’ll do
Our data tech stack
Currently we have AWS Redshift as our data warehouse and we encourage and help our Mentimeter colleagues use Metabase/Mixpanel/Salesforce to understand our users. We are also looking into more advanced tools such as Looker/Tableau/Sisense to help us scale our insights even more this year. Be part of the team to ensure we reach this goal!

Clear and effective communication skills in English (daily work is carried out in English and the Mentimeter team currently boasts 20+ different nationalities!)
Ability and motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies
Strong knowledge of relational databases and experienced with git, SQL and Python
Relevant education with a degree in engineering or comparable experience
Collaborator and educator when it comes to data-related requests
Working as a Data Engineer, BI Analyst/Developer or comparable positions
Developing and optimizing ETL processes, data modelling and data warehousing
Designing, implementing, and supporting BI tools to users across different departments
Performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and seek opportunities for improvement
Hands-on working with data quality, automation and version control.
The following is “bonus experience”, i.e. great to talk about if you happen to have interest in too! You are capable of tackling vague problems, thrive when working on a team which has autonomy in their day-to-day decisions and especially enjoy the experience of restructuring data from multiple sources to get a holistic view of users.
