Bonnier Books UK has a unique and exciting opportunity for a Digital Communications and Audience Development Lead to join its team.
Bonnier Books UK has grown rapidly over the last 10 years to become the 6th largest publisher in the UK and has ambitions to become a £100m Trade business and the 5th largest UK publisher within the next five years. To support this growth, the company has a strategic focus on growing its digital footprint and revenue, through new digital initiatives.
In this role, you will manage our website, as well as guide and support the company’s overarching digital communications strategy. Working cross-functionally and across the business, you will help strengthen our audience engagement by optimising our digital communications channels. This is an exciting role in a new and ambitious team with plenty of scope for growth and innovation.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for stories and storytelling. They will have a track record of creating innovative but scalable campaigns to grow audiences online and a strong knowledge of user experience best practice. They will have experience building audiences via social media and online channels and will be adept at using data to inform decisions, optimise and deliver results.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage Bonnier Books UK’s website and help create and implement a strategy for growth, including setting clear KPIs, and reporting.
Help implement and maintain scalable, sustainable, and cohesive digital communications frameworks and strategies that can be applied across the business and across channels, including social media and online community building initiatives around our brand and authors.
Set guidelines, put in place KPIs and reporting mechanisms, and promote knowledge sharing to maximise our approach to audience building online.
Work closely with IT teams to develop better reporting for digital initiatives and communication channels that are streamlined and accessible for all teams.
A proven ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions and measure results.
An ability to think strategically, as well as take a pragmatic and a lean approach to getting things done.
An ability to take a ‘customer first’ approach, prioritise accordingly, and deliver great customer experiences.
Impeccable communication skills, and an ability to work with stakeholders across the business.
Experience working across all major social media platforms.
An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
