Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an Engineering Internship in one of the teams Process Engineering, Material Flow and Technical Project Management! The teams are looking for multiple resources, where you will have the opportunity to work within one of these areas:

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
We are responsible for the production process equipment, inbound material handling equipment, factory layout and solutions for our Giga-Factory Northvolt ETT in Skellefteå. You will be a direct part of the team supporting us with various projects and case studies to design and optimize manual and automated equipment for Northvolt ETT, such as high speed process equipment, conveyor belts, robot arms and AGVs. You will be part of an innovative, enthusiastic and friendly team!
You will support with multiple projects, from design to drive through Factory Acceptance tests (FAT) and start of installation phases for projects in ETT. This will include:
- Documentation and technical review for equipment projects
- Timeline and technical planning for installation
- Commissioning support - Evaluate new equipment during and after assembly to verify that it is built and operates in accordance with design specifications.
As part of our team, you will experience the full cycle of engineering projects first hand, closely get to know the battery production process, work with state-of-the-art production technology, become familiar with design specifications and the equipment installation and commissioning process.

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
- Recently graduated from a Master’s degree in Engineering, preferable Manufacturing Engineering/Production Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
- Experience from working or studying in a multi-cultural environment
Specific Skills/Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- You have a good understanding of production processes. Hands-on experience is big plus.
- Ambitious and highly efficient doer mentality
- Excellent, flexible multi-tasker with love for both people and technology
- Self-dependent personality with grit and a great sense of humor
