Northvolt has an exciting offer for internships in our excellent and passionate Logistics Team at Northvolt in Stockholm.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start, building first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play a significant role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

Our journey started in Västerås, Sweden with Northvolt Labs, while the giga-factory Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå, Sweden is already in construction phase and logistical set-ups are being drafted as we speak. As key player in the Logistics Team you will have the opportunity to design and build sustainable logistical solutions from scratch, both for Northvolt’s operations in Sweden, as well as beyond. You will be based in Stockholm at Northvolt’s head office and report to one of the Logistics Managers.

In broad terms, Team Logistics is responsible for everything that moves. Our mission is to support Northvolt’s growth and expansion with logistical expertise and to create a robust logistical framework, within which Northvolt units can operate.
In parallel, we must secure sustainability of our solutions while maintaining operational supply chain efficiency.

Generally speaking, you still are or have just finished your education within Supply Chain and/or Logistics. Your studies told you all about the art of war but you would like to understand what it's really like in the trenches.

We have the trenches.

The main assignment of the internship will be to support the colleagues with operational execution, as well as research across multiple development projects we are running in parallel.

Two teams that need your help are:

Project Logistics - are responsible for transporting process equipment for the establishment of Northvolt facilities. These guys find innovative solutions for moving huge and heavy cargo across the world.

Cells and Battery Systems Logistics - these guys work with logistics of our finished product - the BATTERY. It's really cool, that's why it's in CAPS.

In your job you will:

  • help in designing solutions to move and store stuff
  • move stuff (plan, book and oversee transportation on global, European and domestic level)
  • store stuff (secure capacities internally and externally for intermediate warehousing)
  • join an AW on Fridays (Corona permitting)

About the company

Northvolt makes green batteries for a blue planet. Affordable cells and high-quality battery systems. All manufactured with a record-low carbon footprint. Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely.

To accomplish this, we do things differently. We design, manufacture, and recycle everything under one roof. We even build our own factories. All this is incredibly challenging and requires us to think in unconventional ways. We’re constantly experimenting, learning and adapting to make batteries so great – they will one day make oil history.

Northvolt is growing fast. We’re staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås, as well as our Gdansk facility for production of battery systems. We're also hiring for our gigafactory Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå, Sweden. We want to work with smart individuals from all disciplines. Strong individuals that truly want to make a positive impact on the future. Those of us already on board share a passion for our mission. We’re prepared to work hard in pursuit of excellence. We enjoy the ride and our main drive is to make a difference for real. As a team, we’re dedicated to thinking new, working hard and having fun.
