Job title: Editorial Director
Reports to: Matthew Phillips, Publisher, Blink, John Blake
Location: London, Wimpole St
Salary range: £46,000 - £48,000 per annum depending on experience
Are you interested in self-care? Always following the latest health and well-being trends? Do you know that Butyrate is good for your gut and how journaling helps deal with anxiety? Bonnier Books UK are looking for a lifestyle, health, and wellbeing editorial specialist to lead the publishing programme at its Lagom imprint.
As editorial director of Lagom, you will take your knowledge of the “Mind, Body, Spirit” sector and bring it to bear on a list of 10-15 new books a year in the areas of personal development, health and beauty, wellness, parenting, spirituality and mindfulness. You will bring with you excellent contacts with a wide range of agents, authors, ghost-writers and talent managers, and a proven track record in publishing successful, bestselling books in the lifestyle and wellbeing markets.
Importantly you will be digitally savvy, with good commercial market knowledge and a strong sense of initiative. You will be someone who does not sit back and wait for books to come to you, but someone actively seeks to anticipate trends and commission bestsellers from a variety of sources.
This position will suit publishers who are used to working in fast-paced and exciting environments, who are excellent communicators and strong team players, who are full of ideas and love driving through them through to fruition.
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
