We are looking for an experienced Industrialisation Project Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our R&D Vehicle integration team based in Västerås, Sweden.

As the Industrialization Project Manager for Automotive Modules you will be the link between the design team and manufacturing team. You will ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) in a very early stage of the design to ensure that the design is cost effective in terms of manufacturing. You will lead the prototype build up in Stockholm and coordinate process engineers, equipment engineers and technicians. The goal for this role is to lead a customer project from prototype till SOP. We strive for an open culture where you bring your own experience and ideas to develop the best performing and most cost efficient battery module. You will be part of the Automotive Business Unit, working close with both our Project, Operations and battery cell R&D teams.

We are looking for an enthusiastic learner who takes ownership and responsibility for tasks and is eager to collaborate to achieve great results. We would like to see that you are familiar with Automotive Development Processes, with solid experience from battery module production towards the automotive industry.

We believe that you have experience both working close to manufacturing and production as well as product development. In general, you have a collaborative spirit, and you are eager to contribute to creating great end-results.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work close to the Design team to ensure Design for manufacturing in an early product development phase. Provide technical input and work on design concepts together
  • Plan and lead the prototype build up in our facility in Stockholm, hands on when needed.
  • Accountable for leading, tracking and improving all manufacturing activities in the project, including manufacturing process development, launch readiness for new products and Design for Manufacturing
  • Plan resources, build and lead the project/program team across manufacturing engineering (i.e., equipment, process, A&C, Industrialisation, Factory engineering)

  • Plan, organise, direct and conduct industrialisation related activities within the development team, supply chain team and production team.

  • Coordinate gate reviews and ensure a goal oriented drive in the project

  • Knowledge for the manufacturing processes and cost drivers for battery modules

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering / Industrial Engineering
  • Solid knowledge in Automotive Batteries (cells, modules and/or packs)
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams
  • Startup and growth company experience is an advantage
  • Familiar with PFMEA and QA troubleshooting tools
  • Successful track record of leading product, process, equipment develop projects in prototype and production factories
  • Experience with evolving products, processes, and equipment from prototype scales to production scales in a fast-growing environment ideally in the automotive industry

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Hands on and ready to support in different areas and experienced with automotive customers

  • Good understanding of high voltage safety and required design aspects

  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills in both technical and business environments

  • Ability to work in a high profile and often high pressured international environment
