Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Localization Specialist to join our passionate team in Stockholm.
We are a growing team who support suppliers (direct material suppliers) to setup up factories in Europe for Northvolt' s material demand. The team will collaborate with almost all functions within Northvolt as well as with external companies supporting with topic such as HR (growth and relocation of talent), political topics (growing Skellefteå, educating personal, housing), construction (checking timelines and keeping the cost down) etc.
The Localization Specialist will be responsible for delivering one or several suppliers localized factories aligned with internal and external customers timelines. To project manage and track cost, quality, process, growth and other aspects of the suppliers’ localization to avoid delays in overall timeline.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plan, organize, direct and manage the localization projects including Project Plan development and cost controlling together with Strategic Purchasing, material validation plan with R&D and Quality, as well as equipment tests and commissioning (Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Test, Final Completion) plan, Design Changes during development and mass production phases.
Monitor and manage the equipment suppliers’ capacities, quality, economic objectives to achieve targets, with the support of Purchasing and Supplier Quality especially in case of quality or capacity issues;
Align internal stakeholders (Process Engineering, Cell Design, Automation, Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance) to timely achieve joint agreements, joint commitments and shared goals.
Evaluate suppliers’ capabilities and negotiates best possible Quality Cost Delivery
Set up and maintain strong processes of control in commercial and operations
