We are looking for an Account Executive to join our Sales team and focus on the biggest brands in the Nordics. This segment represents a huge opportunity for Meltwater and we want someone who is eager to excel in what they do while supporting others in doing the same.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for driving the sales process with prospective customers as well as the growth of existing accounts. You will work closely with our Nordic AE -team to understand our customers' business objectives and act as their trusted partner for using Meltwater’s tools and services most effectively. You’ll also work with our client acquisition and customer success teams to help us win together.

The Team

The Nordic Account Executive -team currently consists of the most experienced and talented sales professionals who are based out of Finland, Sweden Norway and Denmark. The core focus of our team is to prove out the power of Meltwater and grow the revenue this team and segment brings us. Knowing that digital data from individuals and businesses is growing exponentially, Meltwater is leading the pack by applying AI to identify trends, extending the reach of media monitoring.

Role Mission

The mission of the Account Executive is to expand our footprint as he or she helps build out our Nordic sales efforts. She or he will also work together with our Nordic AE team to develop our successful approach in Sweden and the Nordics, to implement the best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • As an Account Executive, you will expand a key portfolio of national and international clients coming from all industry verticals who have the largest spend and growth potential mainly in Sweden but also help with joint deals in the Nordics
  • You will help drive clients knowledge on AI, big data and the possibilities within Industry 4.0
  • You will build positive, long-lasting relationships through client engagement with executives
  • You love to work with big brands and are comfortable presenting to the CxO level
  • You will work closely with our marketing team to implement account-based targeting strategies
  • You will increase revenue by negotiating contract enlargement for long-term subscriptions according to quarterly growth KPIs
  • You will drive clients knowledge expansion by being strongly embedded in the company's strategy development
  • You will manage multiple customers simultaneously at various stages of the Meltwater buying cycle

  • You’re expected to contribute greatly to Nordic growth, measured by quarterly and annual sales quota

What You Should Have

  • Bachelor’s degree required (any discipline)
  • Fluent Swedish and English language skills (a must)
  • Other Nordic languages (Finnish, Danish and Norwegian) are considered as a plus
  • 2-4 years of experience of selling digital or software solutions
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: we are looking for someone who is clear, concise, and convincing in their communication, and is comfortable negotiating and presenting with the C-Suite
  • Relationships are key! Effective Account Executives are able to read people and connect with them in meaningful ways
  • Ability to adaptability to change, ownership and accountability every day, and attention to detail in all your own work
  • An ability to work independently, but teamwork is key at Meltwater!
  • Strong business acumen, a passion for technology, and a genuine interest in the latest happenings in news/media
  • Humility/willingness to question one’s own assumptions/desire to constantly improve
  • Eligibility to legally work in Sweden
