Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Project Planner to join our Battery Systems amazing team with the mission of building state-of-the-art manufacturing site of battery modules and energy storage systems.
We are currently looking forward to strengthen our planning team. As a Project Planner you will be responsible for ensuring that design & construction project is kept on track by working with the entire planning process from the development of new time schedules to follow-up, analysis, actions and reporting to Project Management.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create, maintain, review and administer construction schedules and plans
  • Plan and organize the project scope by work package to create the baseline critical path schedule and continuously track the progress with the project team and work package leads, using MS Project, Primavera or other similar tools
  • Prepare the Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work performed as defined in the sub-contracts.
  • Guide the project team towards the project milestones in the schedule, completed on time and within budget
  • Monitor risks and opportunities to optimize the time plan and de-risk delays
  • Manage change control and negotiate change orders along with construction management throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Produce schedule related KPI’s to track progress (e.g. milestone performance and deliverable related progress)
  • Liaise with engineers, architects and managers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development
  • Working between offices and construction sites.
  • Produce progress reports and forecasts for team members, clients and stakeholders

Skills & Requirements

  • A Relevant University Degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc. or similar)
  • 5+ years as planner and/or project manager in demanding industrial environment
  • Well rounded project experience in factory construction (design, construction and commissioning phases) is a must
  • Solid technical experience in all cost mangement areas, planning, estimating, pre-contract, post contract and final account.
  • Preferably having worked in multi-cultural environment
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of planning software including in MS Project, Primavera or similar tools
  • Strong communication including writing reports and presenting
  • Perfect time management, organizing and planning

We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
