About the Department: Enterprise Solutions

Meltwater’s Enterprise Solutions team forms up the professional services arm of our business. We take responsibility for curating bespoke reports and managing key projects of our biggest clients. We deliver business-essential intelligence reports based on our keen analyses of various media outlets across traditional and social media channels. Our core competency of high adaptability to client’s requirements and fast turnarounds comes from the unique team of individuals composed of diverse insights & analytical skillsets. We always strive to break new grounds, constantly focusing on solution-oriented approaches and at the same time developing every individual to his or her full capacity.

Role: Media Analyst, Enterprise Solutions (Chinese Proficiency)

Responsibilities:

  • Service Meltwater's enterprise clients in achieving their media monitoring objectives
  • Responsibilities include media monitoring, media data analytics, deep diving into competitor landscape analysis, brand audit reports, consumer insights reports, campaign performance reports, tracking media exposure and volume, etc
  • Be the subject matter expert about the inner workings of mainstream and social media landscape, and media measurement KPIs
  • Share and contribute best practices in quantitative and qualitative reporting techniques
  • Analyze mainstream media and social media content to draw meaningful insights which help with furthering our clients' strategic goals
  • Utilize our Meltwater proprietary software, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint extensively, to cover end-to-end process of pulling out raw data, analysing and extracting insights, and delivering reports in a digestible format to clients
  • Play an integral role of working cohesively with your team to ensure all deliverables and tasks are completed in good quality and well within deadlines
  • Brainstorm and strategize ways to evolve & improve report quality and objectives, catering to clients’ changing requirements or feedback
  • Work closely and interdependently with your internal team, enterprise clients and Account Managers with a shared purpose of value-adding to clients

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Chinese language (for translations into English)
  • Effectively bilingual and proficient in English and Chinese
  • Bachelor's Degree (in any discipline) with strong academic results
  • Entry level / have up to 1 - 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Must be a team player
  • Excited about working with mainstream and social media data
  • Excellent report writing skills, with experience in both qualitative and quantitative reporting
  • Some experience in market research or data analytics, and exposed to various research methodologies
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, Vlookup, etc
  • Good analytical and logical skills – able to translate data into actionable insights, uncover correlations, and ask “what does this mean?" to the data
  • Able to think critically – look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to conclusions based on the findings
  • Meticulous – have an eye for detail, ensure data integrity & precision, and exercise vigilance in the analysis to come to correct conclusions
  • Must currently be residing in Singapore
