Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Global Revenue Manager to report to the Director of Global Revenue who possesses strong technical and operational revenue recognition skills, is highly analytical and with an appetite for solving complex technical and operational revenue and revenue-related issues. Someone who is a self-starter, a great communicator and who thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment. This position requires the ability to maintain compliance and stay updated on any relevant changes that materially affect revenue recognition from U.S. GAAP and to promote customary businesses practices. This is a key role who will have supervisory and mentorship responsibilities in a dynamic global Revenue/AR team. This Global Revenue Manager will be the focal point on revenue recognition and internal accounting contract reviews and will work cross-functionally and partner with our Regional Controllers, FP&A, Sales Ops, Collections, Legal, and IT teams. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, a great teammate who is hands on, highly detail oriented and process driven, but also a critical and creative thinker who will have no issues jumping into the details while keeping in mind the big picture and skillful at problem solving.


The Global Revenue Manager will report to the Director of Global Revenue, and will primarily support the organization on the following:

  • Month-end and Quarterly Close as it relates to AR, Revenue, Deferred Revenue, among others by performing key analyses and activities such as journal entry preparation and review, among others.
  • Together with the Director of Global Revenue, develop a consistent and standard revenue process across the various regions and assist in streamlining and process improvement activities.
  • Assist in the development, evaluation and adoption of US GAAP accounting revenue standard updates and update and maintain relevant accounting revenue policies.
  • Perform contracts / deal reviews for significant transactions. Be involved in pre-signature reviews as requested by the business.
  • Assist in global cash applications, journal entries and account reconciliation reviews as necessary in coordination with another Revenue Accounting Manager in the team.
  • Partner and coordinate cross-functionally to understand business transactions and effectively communicate accounting issues with various departments throughout the company. Specifically, working with Sales Operations and Legal, participate in the sales contract review and purchase orders for potential revenue recognition issues, compliance with internal policies and US GAAP.
  • Partner with FP&A to assist with revenue forecasting process to drive accuracy and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain Revenue Team process and controls documentation as part of internal and external audit preparation.
  • Assist in monthly revenue, deferred revenue, backlogs and other analytics, useful for management’s reviews of actual results against expectations.
  • Lead the preparation of revenue accounting memo providing documentation of the Company’s application of accounting principles to specific revenue transactions, as well as draft and maintain global revenue accounting policies and memos.
  • Provide audit support for revenue and revenue-related items for both annual audits and quarterly reviews, in coordination with the Global Technical Accounting Team.
  • Be a key support for the perioding assessment of compliance with ASC 606 revenue standards for the Company including financial statement disclosures assistance as needed by Technical Accounting Team.
  • Work with Director of Global Revenue in the design, implementation and maintenance of effective accounting policies, and controls over the revenue process.

  • Work closely with Business Systems partners to streamline processes and improve efficiency utilizing the Netsuite system including designing and improving revenue, deferred revenue and AR reports.

  • Co-own with the Revenue Accounting Manager the timely and accurate reporting of key revenue data and quarter close processes and procedures, including assisting in the Executive Summary package preparation and reviews.

  • Manage initially 1 direct report(Senior Revenue Analyst), along with dotted line supervisory responsibility in the team.

  • Review other key processes and analyses within the worldwide revenue close process as delegated by the Director of Global Revenue.

  • Key participant in internal and external training for the team.

  • Lead or assist in other special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as needed; drive projects to successful completion with minimal oversight.

  • Participate in evaluation and uptake of up and coming systems improvements and Netsuite functionality.
Skills & Requirements


  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in a Revenue Role with at least 3+years of supervising/managing people and projects.
  • SAAS/ Cloud computing industry experience required. High tech or software considered.

  • Licensed CPA with Big 4 experience (reached at least an experienced Senior Auditor level) required. Tier 2 public accounting experience may be considered (BDO, Grant Thorton). Strongly open to Direct from audit hire if with strong revenue and SAAS/high tech industry client exposure.

  • Bachelors degree in ACCOUNTING required. Finance degree may be considered.

  • Experience with NETSUITE or equivalent (similar complexity) ERP packages required.

  • Solid understanding of global quote-to-cash business processes and best practices (required).

  • Moderate to Advanced Excel skills is required.
  • Experience with a multinational company ( global accounting organizations) with significant presence in EMEA, APAC, and the AMERICAS is required with exposure multi-currency and or multi-ledger scenarios.
  • A solid familiarity with foreign currency accounting, intercompany transactions, international taxation and contracting is highly desirable.
  • Merger and Acquisitions experience a plus.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills required.
  • Demonstrated success with process improvement initiatives a big plus.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines and thrives working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 principles and US GAAP as a whole.
  • Ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment.
  • Capable of moving between a variety of roles with ease with working with cross functional teams.
