About the Department: Client Success

The Client Success team focuses on growing and engaging Meltwater’s user base. The Account Manager will be dedicated to a designated portfolio of clients, and responsible for building a positive long-term relationship with these clients across Southeast Asia and in particular, Malaysia & Indonesia – through proactive consultation, education, and support, with the aim of maximising sales revenue and most importantly, upholding high standards of customer service. Success in this position requires exceptional consultative sales approach, coaching and client servicing skills, strong business acumen, the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-focused environment, and a passion for helping clients achieve results.

Role: Account Manager, Client Success (Malaysia & Indonesia)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategy to expand existing customer relationships to help grow revenue, with a focus on clients from Malaysia & Indonesia
  • Achieve monthly retention & renewal targets of existing clients, and grow overall portfolio size by up-selling and cross-selling across Meltwater's suite of products & services
  • Identify existing and new client opportunities to promote growth, structure proposals, work with internal support functions, negotiate and manage client agreements
  • Build positive, long-lasting relationships with our client base through frequent client engagement & numerous customer touch points
  • Provide timely assistance and support to clients regarding their queries and issues related to our SaaS platforms, making sure to prioritize client satisfaction
  • Proactively identify issues that may impact a renewal, and engage all available resources to resolve any knots
  • Actively track client's usage of our solutions, ensuring activity and engagement levels are kept high
  • Build and grow relationships within the client's organization at all levels including C-Suite Executives, decision makers, and end users

Requirements:

  • Strong language proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Indonesia (for B2B client servicing requirements in Malaysia / Indonesia)
  • Must have experience dealing with Malaysia / Indonesia market & clients
  • Must be currently residing in Singapore
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with strong academic results
  • 2 - 7 years of work experience in client servicing / client facing roles, ideally in account management, sales or business development roles
  • Familiar with critical account management responsibilities such as retention of clients, up-selling and cross-selling across your client pool
  • Proven track record in fulfilling and exceeding sales targets
  • Derive great enjoyment being in client servicing roles with a naturally strong customer focus
  • Passionate about building relationships along with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience engaging clients of all seniority levels
  • Dealt with complex or escalated customer situations, and able to navigate large organizations and gain executive level buy-in
  • Strong empathy for customers, plus a passion for influencing customer revenue and growth
  • Ability to think outside the box as needed with an instinct for creativeness
