You will be responsible for the area of Compensation and Benefits within the Human Resources department.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Shaping our salary and benefit structure
  • Identify benchmark/market analysis
  • Salary reviews strategy and coordination
  • Pensions - strategy, investigation and implementation
  • Define packages e.g. for relocating new employees
  • Supporting with upcoming local union negotiations on comp & ben
  • Involvement in implementing shift models and time banking schemes in the factory

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Completed bachelor’s degree (BSc) in economics, labor law or related fields.
  • Relevant work experience in at least mid-sized companies.
  • Familiar with German compensation regulations and standards.
  • Advanced skills in modeling data in MS Excel and creating presentations for top management in MS PowerPoint.

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent English and German language skills.
  • Highly organized and communicative.
  • Exceptionally good analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Has a “can do” attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit, paired with the ability to understand the big picture.

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.

We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a busy, fast moving environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås, as well as our Gdansk facility for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå and Northvolt Zwei in Germany.

The Northvolt–Volkswagen Group joint venture is establishing a gigafactory in Salzgitter, Germany. Northvolt Zwei takes its design from the Northvolt blueprint for battery manufacturing developed for Northvolt Ett. Start of construction is planned for 2021 and start of operations beginning of 2024. Initial annual output will be at least 16 GWh.​
