Northvolt has an exciting job offer in the Equipment Purchasing Team in Skellefteå for a Senior Site Purchasing Specialist.

Your challenge, if you join us

You are the main contact person within Northvolt to drive Brownfield projects and changes in our existing manufacturing plant in Skelleftea.

You are working together with a cross-functional team to implement new solutions from an equipment perspective in our plant. You will manage and drive equipment sourcing projects that are aiming to increase the output and quality. This includes mainly the execution of business awards, validation of offers and proposals as well as performing commercial & contract negotiations. You will work closely with the engineering and manufacturing team as well as our central purchasing team during the performance of this work.

You will get the chance to have a real impact on our success story in Sweden and see the immediate results of your work. Your work is directly supporting our goal towards a carbon free future and making oil history.


In your previous professional work you have collected experience preferably in investment purchasing. At Northvolt, you will work in a multi-cultural environment with suppliers and colleagues from all over the world, so the work environment requires an enthusiastic problem solver that is adapting flexible to different situations.

Skills & Requirements


  • Bachelor or Master’s degree with preferred focus on industrial engineering, sourcing & logistics, engineering, and/or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing ideally in a manufacturing environment

Specific Skills/ Abilities

  • Excellent English written and oral skills. Other language skills are a plus
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Highly organised and has an eye for detail
  • Can-do attitude and drive
  • Very good team player, able to influence and convince other team members and project stakeholders
  • Experience with multi-cultural business relationship is a clear plus as well as experience and interest in the manufacturing industry
