IPercept Technology is a deeptech startup in the field of Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT). We aim to introduce a new era in production equipment utilization through automated diagnostics based on several years of KTH research. Our technology enables affordable and meaningful insights into machine health. These insights lead to an increase in availability and performance, as well as a more sustainable operation of machine tools and industrial robots. We address a global market opportunity of over 300 billion USD using automated machine diagnostics replacing today's manual and time-consuming testing methods. The core of our technology is a patent-pending measurement method and instrument, unique algorithms, smart hardware utilizing sensors, edge computers, and a cloud platform.

What have we accomplished?

  • Developed a new patent-pending technology enabling automated diagnostics of production equipment (machine tools and industrial robots)
  • Successfully tested demo units and now releasing a new plug-and-play product version with a cloud platform to the market
  • Verified the market with strong interest from several large manufacturing enterprises
  • Got accepted to McKinsey's Ignition Fuel and Sting's Incubation Program
  • Received a pre-seed investment and secured over 1.3 MSEK in funding

We hope our journey becomes yours

We are now positioned to launch to the market and scale our business development. We seek to become a supplier to large OEMs in two to three years. Today, we first target our end-customers (manufacturing companies, who are the users of machine tools and industrial robots) to demonstrate our technology and develop our business case. This is where we need you to help to shape and executing our business development. Currently, our team is tech-heavy and we want to diversify our team with a new business driver for various activities related to business development. The right person could become a potential co-founder of our company.

During the initial 5-6 months, the position is in the form of part-time employment. In the first period, your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Drive business development and sales: build a network of potential customers, set up a lead funnel, and engage pilot customers.
  • Develop business strategies: challenge and redefine our business and pricing strategy and growth plan.
  • Contribute to demonstrate a strong business case starting from pilot projects for end-users to OEMs
  • Support production scaling- establishing partners in our supply chain and develop a strategy
  • Assist to make IPercept Technology investor-ready and support fundraising.

What do we offer?

After 5-6 months in the form of part-time employment, a full-time position will be offered. The title of the position is head of business development and founding partner of the company. The level of involvement is difficult to predict at the moment and will depend on sales success and funding status, but we expect the person should spend at least 30-50% of her/his full time. In the subsequent stages, this should go to full-time involvement.

Skills & Requirements

What are we looking for in you?

  • Solid background (MSc) in industrial management, engineering and/or business
  • Few years of experience from relevant fields, ideally from manufacturing
  • Good at establishing, building, and maintaining customer relationships. Proven experience in marketing and B2B sales is an advantage
  • Strong drive and entrepreneurial mind-set to deliver results
  • Great communication skills. Fluency in English and preferably also in Swedish
  • Experience from running and building startup is highly valuable

IPercept Technology AB was founded in 2018 as a university spin-off company by two researchers from the Department of Production Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The founders of the company researched novel sensor-based methods to automate the diagnostics and monitoring of production equipment such as machine tools and industrial robots.
