The electrical engineering team at Northvolt Battery Systems has an exciting job offer for an electrical engineering internship to join our stellar, bold and passionate team in Stockholm.
The internship experience:
The objective of this internship is to develop the student through the product development cycle, from concept design, detailed design, verification and validation, as well as assist in the personal development through training, networking and coaching.
We are searching for an ambitious student with practical experience in electrical schematic design, low voltage component selection, control systems, embedded programming and instrumentation. During the internship you will be working on design and development of a refrigeration system for battery thermal management together with another intern whose background is in refrigeration systems. You’ll be working with a young, dynamic and international team.

This role is a good opportunity for someone who have a good hands-on experience of building electrical solutions and want to learn more battery system level topics in a very practical way, also based on the mutual evaluation after the internship, you could get offered an extension or a full-time position.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work with electrical schematics
Work with NX and our PLM to modify, update or create new assemblies of physical parts
Take part in the low voltage component selection
Support to review documentation like BOM and ECOs

Currently completing a Master’s degree in Engineering or recently graduated
Experience with 3D M-CAD tools (Catia, Solidworks, NX, etc)
Must have worked or studied in a multi-cultural environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Other European languages are meritorious
Capable of working in fast paced environment and with a proactive attitude
Quick learner and capable of independently driving tasks to the end
You have a good understanding of product development. Hands-on experience is big plus
