Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Data Analyst to join our passionate team in Västerås.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon-free society.
Responsible for developing python scripts for handling of large amount of test data automatically (i.e. csv files), but not limited to, processing and analyzing for cell development. It extends to interfacing cell electrical test machines and automation system.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing python code for libraries that can be used flexible/worked on by multiple users.

  • Debugging and updating python code according to test protocol and data.

  • Developing interfacing tool and protocol for test machines and automation system.

  • Investigating problem-solving in terms of data comparison and analysis.

  • Contribute to analyzing test data to improve battery properties and/or management system.

  • Plan, organize, direct and follow up on project-related validation activities.

  • Ensure delivery of the project activities with regards to validation requirements.

  • Facilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements between customers and Northvolt's internal stakeholders.

  • Installation and Commissioning of Validation equipment.

Skills & Requirements


  • Bachelor or MSc degree in engineering
  • Proven experience in developing code for data handling and analysis for batteries is a must
  • Preferable experience from industry (working in a team with multiple stakeholders), including experience in developing code for others: version control, documentation e.g. github (version controlling, system for co-development of code)
  • Excellent communication skills with multiple team members.

Specific skills (eg specific programmes, languages, certifications etc.)

  • Excellent Python scripting skill

  • Comfortable writing SQL queries to get data from the cloud

  • Data visualization in required formats using or connected with python

  • Data storage, processing, and computing technologies

  • Strong organization skills and used to manage a range of activities simultaneously

  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently

  • Ability to work under high pressure with tight deadlines

  • Proficient English skill both in written and speaking
