Based remotely for a six-month role with the opportunity to relocate to our Accra HQ upon contract extension in January 2021, the Marketing Associate: Analyst will support the MEST Marketing Team in the creation of promotional campaigns focusing on African tech startup thought leadership marketing for MEST.
The role will focus on content creation such as white papers, articles, and videos for multiple stakeholders - investors, ecosystem players, entrepreneurs, and their companies - that MEST hopes will directly increase their business and partnership leads while also feeding back into content for MEST Medium, partner outreach, digital channels, and more. This role’s deliverables are to be executed 50% in French.
Collaborate MEST founders and other stakeholders to analyzing data and marketing insights, research and report on market trends, perform market analysis for external outreach. Outputs examples: Two articles per month with landing page and worksheet and create investor packet quarterly
Work with MEST supported entrepreneurs, and their companies to understand and identify their strengths/weakness when it comes to communicating themselves, their business proposition, and ‘their why.’ Work with MEST to create business development worthy content for them to engage partners, stakeholders, and other potential leads. Outputs example: 30 pieces of social content per month per platform
Create weekly high-value content in the form of videos and articles in French, along with working with stakeholders in Francophone markets to build MEST networks for the promotion of MEST and MEST supported startups. Outputs example: French versions of thought leadership and other content.
Press Releases: Support MEST and MEST companies with press releases and press interaction in Francophone markets. Outputs example: French press releases.
