We are looking for an Internal Communications Manager to join the Northvolt communications team in Stockholm. The role will place you at the heart of the company, responsible for diverse range of tasks and duties – all of which will contribute directly to the development of the company and its mission to enable the future of energy.

Northvolt is growing at a tremendous speed – moving from 12 to over 700 people, with 65 different nationalities spread across six different locations, in just over three years. This development has created a vibrant, fast-paced and international working environment, but it has also posed challenges in terms of keeping the team aligned, informed and attached to the overall mission and culture of the company.

This is where you come in. As Internal Communications Manager, you will be strategically and operationally responsible for the internal communications program, which includes channel and content management, certain internal events and meetings, as well as the overall responsibility for information sharing between offices, teams and functions.

Most importantly, as Internal Communications Manager you will be a key player in ensuring that the Northvolt culture is maintained and nurtured throughout all Northvolt locations and teams.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overall strategic and operational responsibility for Northvolt’s internal communications program
  • Ensuring Northvolt’s values and culture are fostered throughout the company
  • Enabling information and news sharing between internal stakeholders to keep them informed on our mission and priorities
  • Managing internal communications projects & initiatives
  • Coordinating between internal functions, such as IT, communications and the office support function to create the best possible framework for internal communications
  • Develop, implement and upgrade internal communications tools and platforms to deliver a world-class user experience

The Internal Communications Manager will become a vital member of the close-knit communications team, reporting to the VP Communications & Public Affairs.

Location: Stockholm. Frequent travelling to other Northvolt offices in Sweden, Germany and Poland should be expected.

Full time employment, fixed salary. Planned starting date is asap.

Skills & Requirements


  • BSc degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Native English speaker, or the equivalent level, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skills in Swedish and/or German is a plus
  • Experience from working at a fast-growing company is a plus
  • Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and experience from managing a range of activities simultaneously
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Ability to work in a high profile and often high pressure environment
