About the company

Important Looking Pirates is one of Scandinavia's biggest visual effects studios. Located in the heart of Stockholm we create photorealistic VFX for international TV series and feature films.

ILP was founded by artists in 2007 with the vision to become one of the top international suppliers of VFX. Since our management are artists themselves the focus of the company has always been on the quality of our work. That focus has not only earned us the big productions we are working on today but also international recognition and several of the most prestigious industry awards. We can proudly say that we have assembled one of the best visual effects teams in the business, currently with around 110 talents from all corners of the world.

Our latest projects include films like Star Wars - Rise of Skywalker, Jurassic World - Fallen Kingdom and Aladdin, and TV series like Lost in Space, Watchmen, Game of Thrones and Westworld.

Our nheadquarters is located in the famous Norstedts building on the islet of Riddarholmen. The office is designed to inspire creativity and to provide the best possible work environment for creating spectacular visual effects. Almost a third of the office consists of social areas where the pirates gather to have lunch and celebratory fikas, get company updates, participate in fussball tournaments, and hang out for Friday beers.
