We are currently looking for a Security Management champion to join our ranks to manage and advise on all aspects of Security practice and policy.

This role will involve supporting the business and managing the delivery of all aspects of protective security ensuring it complies with Company, Client and Government Policies or frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

The Security Controller will be involved in a wide variety of Security projects to support the success of the business - these will include; Security Vetting, Security Policy (in line with the Security Policy Framework), Security Management, including Risk Management and Governance, and Employee Security practices. As the Security Controller you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining your knowledge of requirements for vetting and manage the delivery of Security vetting for employees. This will include managing and improvement of standards and processes for vetting.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including Government stakeholders, to maintain security policies and ensure they stay up to date. Maintain your knowledge of global security trends so that the Company can adapt to current global events and emerging threats and uses intelligence and threat analysis.
  • Have a knowledge of information security as well as managing the protection of classified material, our various accreditations and work with colleagues within the Company and the wider business to implement and improve processes.
  • Champion the Company’s objectives for Security Management and Compliance, be the main point of contact for internal colleagues to provide guidance and training.
  • Manage and identify Security Risk with an understanding of identifying and managing critical business assets and threats, which is aligned to industry best practices, to influence the Company’s strategic decisions.
  • Support the delivery of the Company security compliance framework in line with business standards and regulatory requirements and lead where appropriate in the area of security.
  • Working with our client’s security teams to ensure our compliance with their requirements and enforcing standards across our teams, reporting breaches where necessary

What are we looking for?

  • You will need a knowledge and experience of managing employee Security Vetting, including processes and requirements.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining Security Policy in-line with the Government’s Security Policy Framework
  • Experience of developing and maintaining Security processes and policies in line with ISO 27001, accreditations and Cyber Essentials Plus
  • Strong communications skills and be able to work with internal colleagues to ensure the continued success of meeting the Company’s Security Management practices.
  • Pro-active approach to Security Management, guiding internal stakeholders on best practice and standards.
