Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Lead Application Engineer to join our passionate team in Stockholm.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
As a Lead Application Engineer you will be a part of our business unit Battery Systems and you'll have an important role to lead technical sales support within ESS applications and support revenue generation of the business unit.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Executing on strategic direction and identify new markets and/or accounts in alignment with overall strategic direction
Develop market requirements for identified business potential incl. product portfolio, cost targets and time lines with key accounts
Lead technical discussions on integration requirements and qualify Northvolt solution with target customers

Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Engineering Physics or equivalent
5 years of experience in design of energy storage and/or power grid solutions
Client facing experience from sales, project management, or as a technical consultant
Deep understanding of Electrical Energy Storage and Battery technology
Startup and growth company experience, especially from hardware companies where sales is driven out of technical qualification
Excellent English written and oral communication skills in both technical and business environments
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
Ability to work in a high profile and often high pressure multi-cultural environment
Thrive working within tight deadlines and excellent at time management
Ability to break new ground and be bold enough to change status quo identifying new market potentials
Have plenty of grit, a can-do attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, a great eye for quality, a sense of humor and a curious mind
