Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Purchasing Analyst to join our procurement team in Stockholm.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

The Purchasing Analyst will focus on developing purchasing metrics and benchmarking tools to ensure that the organization maintains a sustainable competitive advantage through its supply chain. In cooperation with Finance and Control you will support the creation and consolidation of the the purchasing function reporting requirements with the help of available tools and buyers.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Initiating processes for supplier cost reduction and capacity forecasting, including the review of supplier contracts.
  • Consolidating map of supplier obligations and in collaboration with Material and Equipment purchasing members, compile and present department financial reports to company executives, as well as evaluate current financial models and risk analyses and develop new processes to create efficiencies and higher security of supplies.
  • Supporting buyers and purchasing units by analyzing system data.

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Engineering background + MBA or Finance or 2-3 years experience in a consulting firm or in a Purchasing department of a best practice industrial company.
  • Interested by Purchasing, Supply Chain of a fast growing sector.
  • Strong in structure and analytics, and also interpersonal qualities to nurture acceleration of business, revisit business models

  • Capacity to grow into an operational role either in Materials Purchasing or in Equipment or in Cell Projects

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
  • Strong presentation skills: written and oral presentation
  • Highly organized and result-driven
  • An eye for detail
  • Proactive and goes beyond expectations
  • Has a can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit

  • Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
