I&D - BI PROJECT MANAGER

Main Purpose of Role

To work as part of the Business Information Management (BIM) group providing project management and delivery management expertise to projects, programs and external clients. You will be placed on technology focused delivery assignments in any sector and BI related projects or manage individual projects of varying size and degrees of complexity. Primarily focused around the delivery / implementation of Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Master Data Management bespoke and packaged based products (e.g. Informatica, Teradata, SAP, ORACLE etc.). Members of the team can also be called on to deliver change programs, undertake program/project audits and/or assurance reviews and provide client mentoring and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

All aspects of Project management; accountability for project delivery and profitability:

  • Sale, definition, scoping and planning of multi disciplinary projects
  • Project structuring and portfolio management
  • Building key client relationships (including at the CxO level where appropriate)
  • Feasibility studies and business case development
  • Business Change Implementation
  • Roll-out design and management
  • Benefits tracking
  • Project audits and assurance reviews
  • For Delivery Management - oversight of a group of projects ensuring profitability and managing the commercial and client aspects of delivery

Excellent leadership and communication skills demonstrating a clear leadership capability within the business

  • Builds sustainable relationships with clients at middle-top and top management level, utilizing these for successful client delivery and in seeking out further business opportunities for Capgemini revenue
  • Likely to have identified and taken the lead in major pursuits resulting in new or additional business
  • Recognized both internally and by clients for providing effective relationship and commercial management in complex delivery and sales environments
  • Capable of developing and delivering formal presentations to senior clients in both delivery and sales situations
  • Clearly recognized for delivery and subject matter leadership
  • Innovative in both sales and delivery
  • Comfortable within a consulting led sales model
  • Proven ability to architect innovative solutions which delivers value to clients whilst managing internal risk
  • Proven ability to leverage the appropriate range of Capgemini capabilities to bring value to clients
  • Able to lead and guide clients into thinking about the overall business change and deployment agenda
  • Regarded as thought leader in a service offer or sector; leads generation of points of view or service offers, ensuring output is business led and emphasizes Capgemini differentiators

Desired Skills & Experience

Education

  • Master degree or equivalent through relevant experience

Management Skills

  • A formal qualification or certification in Project Management is desirable
  • Expert in the use of Project management tools
  • Experienced in the implementation of Business Information projects
  • Industry experience, e.g. familiarity with Government or other Public Sector organizations or other major industry sector
  • Excellent staff management and leadership
  • Capable of acting as mentor and or reviewer
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead mixed teams (Capgemini and client staff)
  • Flexible about work content and location and able to work independently on client site

Languages and mobility

  • Resident in Belgium
  • Fluent oral communication skills in French, Dutch and English
  • Fluent writing in mother tongue (Dutch or French) AND English
  • Geographic mobility. You must be ready to accept assignments anywhere in Belgium, and potentially abroad
