Role: Senior Sales Manager, Client Acquisition (Southeast Asia)

The main objective of a Senior Sales Manager in our Client Acquisition team is to increase our current client portfolio throughout Southeast Asia and help drive our ‘land and expand’ strategy. You will be speaking to a wide range of companies across all industries, and work with some of the most exciting companies in Southeast Asia.

You will be responsible for the entire sales process as you liaise with C-Level Executives and directly pitch Meltwater's software solutions to them. Our clients are typically from Corporate Affairs, Public Relations, Communications, or Marketing departments, and because Meltwater is a service that can value-add to businesses across all backgrounds and verticals, you will gain exposure to organizations of all shapes and sizes, building upon your business acumen with every step of the way.

For this role, we are looking for are looking for driven and ambitious professionals to join our team - someone who is hardworking, intelligent and well-rounded. By joining our team, you will be an instrumental part of our growth in Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire new customers and expand existing customer relationships to help grow revenue across Southeast Asia
  • Drive the entire sales process from start to finish including prospecting, opportunity identification, introductory meetings, product demonstration, customer Q&A, as well as negotiation and closing
  • Manage a pipeline of inbound and self-sourced leads to identify, engage, and develop relationships with potential prospects
  • Manage sales activity including monthly and quarterly forecasting of revenue
  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Educate and guide prospects through the buyer’s journey to help them understand how Meltwater can help drive their business goals and objectives through using our suite of products
  • Develop a deep understanding of our current customers’ business and solution requirements
  • Work strategically with Management to deliver forecasts, identify opportunities / challenges, and provide recommendations
  • Keep informed of product developments, competition and industry trends that may impact client acquisition and growth

Skills Requirements:

  • 4 - 7 years of direct sales / business development experience in a SaaS or tech company
  • Experience selling to companies across Southeast Asia is a must
  • Strong proficiency in English and a second language (e.g. Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Tagalog, Thai, etc)
  • Bachelor's Degree with strong academic results in any specialization
  • A genuine interest in, and an aptitude for understanding how SaaS products and solutions solve business problems
  • Have exceptional consultative selling and closing skills – we are looking for a top performer with a high frequency in sales
  • You can achieve your quotas, but we are looking for someone who wants to knock it out the park consistently
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong communication, collaboration, negotiation and executive presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong business acumen, a passion for technology, you should be a regular consumer of the news/ media
  • Possess a great attitude and a positive contribution to team culture, self-confident and focused on achieving your goals
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, ethical, responsible, & self-motivated
  • Eligible to work in Singapore
