Job Description

The Client Acquisition Account Executive position is a role for experienced B2B sales professionals within our growing Social Media Division.

This is a business-to-business sales role which involves the strategic acquisition of enterprise-level new business opportunities and includes full life-cycle ownership from prospecting to close.

Our clients are typically in the Marketing, Social Media, and Digital Departments, and we work directly with decision-makers in a very consultative fashion. Meltwater isn’t a service that is used by just one industry, so you will get exposure to companies and organizations of all shapes and sizes, helping you expand your business acumen all the time. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities in mid to enterprise client prospects, conducting initial outreach and discovery calls, consulting with c-suite executives on our cutting edge social media management and analytics tool, and executing and finalizing sales negotiation to bring new business on board. This cross-functional role collaborates closely with leadership, the Product Specialist team, and our Marketing Business Development team.

Compensation: Structure is base salary + quarterly performance-based bonuses + commission. The commission is uncapped. Base salary will be commensurate with experience. Typical OTE range for this position is ~ $200k annually, Base range is ~$70k-90K annually.

Skills & Requirements

At a minimum, you will need:

- A University degree with strong academic results

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

- Natural leadership qualities

- At least 3 years of relevant SaaS/B2B consultative sales experience

You will get bonus points for:

- Experience in selling social listening or digital media analytics tools

- Ambitious internships or relevant professional experience

- Familiarity with the Marketing function inside of companies

- International experience (academic, personal or professional)
