Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Document Controller to join our passionate team in Braunschweig.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

Northvolt uses document control to track the important technical documents that the project depends on to accomplish our objectives. As a Document Controller, you will drive the tracking of documents in our Project Lifetime Management (PLM) software Teamcenter. Your responsibilities will be to assist in the development of procedures and make sure that documents are created, distributed, reviewed and approved in accordance with the procedures.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Administratively assist engineers and project managers to upload and control documents in Teamcenter.
  • Ensure documents are uploaded in the right place in Teamcenter assigned with the right meta data, assigned with approvers and reviewers, submitted to workflows and approved by the right person.
  • Reactively and proactively urge engineers to provide and approve documents according to the routines.

Skills & Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Academic Degree within relevant area (Business, Engineering, IT).
  • 5 years experience of a similar position in a demanding and challenging environment.
  • Experience of Office 365, TeamCenter.

  • Optional experience could be from other PLM Systems.

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish/German is a plus.
  • Highly organized and result-driven.
  • Proactive and goes beyond expectations.

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.

We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a busy, fast moving environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås, as well as our Gdansk facility for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå and Northvolt Zwei in Germany.

The Northvolt–Volkswagen Group joint venture is establishing a gigafactory in Salzgitter, Germany. Northvolt Zwei takes its design from the Northvolt blueprint for battery manufacturing developed for Northvolt Ett. Start of construction is planned for 2021 and start of operations beginning of 2024. Initial annual output will be at least 16 GWh.​
