Role: Senior Social Consultant

As the Senior Social Consultant in our Southeast Asia region, you will be a critical resource in the Meltwater Social team who will be championing and communicating the value of social media & analytics.

As the subject matter expert in social, digital & marketing solutions and products, you will have the opportunity to work in both an external client facing and internal consultancy role in fulfilling and driving client goals using Meltwater’s social media solutions.

You will be a collaborator and sales accelerator, enabling our Senior Social Sellers to steward customer relationships and get in more social business for the company, while providing strategic counsel on industry best practices, product use cases, competitive positioning and thought leadership for all things social.

With the largest global mainstream news and social media source base, we enable any analysis to be built on top of the most complete data set possible. Beyond just social listening we enable marketers to drive conversions across the marketing funnel through community management tools, audience insight & affinity analysis, influencer discovery & management, and even single view visualisation of Earned, Owned and Paid media. We surface these insights through our web & mobile applications, reports and alerts, and enable our clients to integrate it with their marketing stack through Meltwater’s APIs.


  • Support the SEA Meltwater Social Lead in three key pillars; Knowledge Transfer, Technical Consultancy for client requirements, and Technical Collaboration with Media Agencies on platforms and insights analysis
  • Knowledge transfer of Social Media analytics tools, Meltwater Social product capabilities and Industry/Competitor knowledge to internal Social Sellers in Meltwater SEA, while also clearly articulating Meltwater Social's value proposition and value drivers to external clients, focusing on the business problems we solve for our customers
  • External communications and some presales work - attend client meetings and collaborate with Social Sellers on use case solutions for clients, sharing best practices, case studies, assist in the development of compelling proposals, presentations and pitches for clients, POCs, etc
  • Act as a critical resource for Social Sellers by providing strategic direction, including guidance on best-in-class social media & digital strategies, sharing a solution-oriented approach to upsell the Meltwater Social suite of products to new or existing customer base
  • Product Champion - join global product calls to learn more of our product developments, product partnerships, and strategize with Social Lead on roll-out and in-market strategies
  • Be a key resource in the region for industry knowledge, technical know-how, competitor updates and media agency capabilities


  • Bachelor's degree in a related specialization. (Marketing, Digital Marketing, Managing Information System, Digital Communication)
  • Must be residing in Singapore
  • Mid-level / have 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Must be an extremely strong communicator, and possess great interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Innovative and creative, someone who is a solution-oriented person
  • Have spent time working in-house or with media agencies (4A) on marketing and analytics platforms, well versed at using social media and analytics tools
  • Passionate about digital marketing and analytics
  • Previous experience in working on and presenting for bids or “internal marketing pitches”
  • Have breadth of general knowledge on the social media analytics space
  • Keen eye on how to use data analytics to improve clients’ business impact
  • Familiar with or have used media monitoring or social analytics platforms, marketing clouds, and data visualisation tools
  • Some familiarity with APIs and JSON format integrations
  • Motivated, proactive, initiative and organized with the ability to work under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment
  • Team player, mature, and a self-starter
