Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a HRIS Specialist to join our Talent team in Stockholm, and help us develop a world class employee experience.

In joining us as our first dedicated HRIS resource, you will play an important part in building the function and setting up our HRIS standards, overseeing the gathering and processing of employee data, and securing the proper and compliant use of our HR software in face of our big ramp up in the coming years. You will be part of a team responsible for delivering solutions for our key HR processes, making sure they meet the requirements of our business and selling the story.

This position will require deep knowledge of HR information systems, processes and functions. You will act as a liaison between HR and IT and be responsible for analyzing and understanding the company's HRIS strategic and tactical needs and for designing, recommending and implementing the appropriate solutions, as well as integrations to additional HR software.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementation of HRIS/HCM system.
  • Oversee the collecting, processing and updating of employee data within our HCM system.
  • Interfacing with different internal stakeholders to ensure seamless and secure data flow within the organization.
  • Configuring our compensation review processes according to provided scope from Compensation & Benefit. Includes building, testing and documenting as well as supporting while the process is in progress. Working closely with C&B to configure bonus plans according to company policies etc. Set up for integration with payroll.
  • Setting up and configuring performance & talent reviews, skill matrices, time and attendance etc.
  • Continuous system improvement and adjusting of business processes when needed including configuration, testing, documentation, implementation. Advising on new solutions to increase effectiveness.
  • Planning and executing trainings.
  • Developing and deploying a proper GDPR compliance strategy.
  • Second line support for general HRIS queries from the business.

Skills & Requirements


  • Fluency in English
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher educational level
  • 3+ years of relevant experience preferably including HRIS implementation in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience with HRIS within the tech, industrial, automotive or manufacturing industries

Specifics Skills/Abilities

  • Experience working with different HRIS/HCM systems in general, and experience from Microsoft Dynamics 365 in particular
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Fluency in Swedish is a plus

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
