Heart’s mission is to create the fastest, most affordable and sustainable mode of transport for regional travel. Our goal is to serve the market in every corner of the world

Our first aircraft is the ES-19, a nineteen-passenger airliner with an operating range of 400 km. The ES-19 is a fully electric aircraft, and our goal is to have the aircraft certified for commercial operation by 2025.

Your place of work will be at our main office and hangar facility. This is located on Säve Flygplats in Gothenburg, Sweden. Relocation assistance can be provided.

At Heart you’ll be working at the cutting edge of technology while contributing towards a sustainable future. We offer stock options to all our employees and a challenging and inspiring work environment.

We seek experienced and skilled engineers to join a small, fast moving team developing a new electric aircraft in Sweden. We’re in a very expansive phase and now is the time to join our team.

Come help us write a new chapter in the history of aviation together.

Role Overview

We are looking for a CAD engineer to lead our work in the CAD definition of our aircraft. We’re looking for a person that is highly proficient and passionate about CAD design. Ideally, you have both worked in large aerospace and automotive projects, while also maintaining a startup mindset and being internally motivated.

You’re the kind of person who has popped the hood on the commercial CAD packages, used scripting, parametric design, with a programmer’s mindset. You’re borderline obsessed about workflow efficiency, and you’ve successfully implemented your ideas in the companies you’ve worked with. Perhaps you’re the kind of person that watches youtube videos on CAD for fun, or you’re engaged in online communities and forums. You have a mathematical understanding about splines, and an industrial designer’s sensibility to A-class surfaces. Meanwhile, you have an eagerness to learn more, and you’re humble about learning from a cross-functional team. Finally, you’re looking for a challenge, and an opportunity to set a new CAD standard for a fast-growing company.

Please send us your resume, along with a portfolio of your best CAD work.

About the company

Heart Aerospace is a Swedish startup making electric regional airplanes. Heart's mission is to create the fastest, most affordable and sustainable transportation for regional travel to every corner of the world. Our first aircraft is the ES-19, a nineteen-passenger airliner with an operating range of 400 km. Our goal is to have the aircraft certified for commercial operation by 2025.

HEARTHEART

GREENAir travel accounts for 2% of global CO2 emissions, and that share is expected to rise to 12-27% by 2050. 40% of worldwide emissions are from short-haul flights. Electric aircraft are the solution. These planes have zero operational emissions, and the lowest infrastructural footprint of all modes of regional transport.

ACCESSIBLEWe believe air travel should be integrated into–not seperated from–our towns and communities. Our zero-emissions, low-noise aircraft can operate on 750m runways, making new use of the vast network of small airports close to city centres.

COST-EFFICIENTElectrification changes the equation for regional air travel. Electric aircraft are affordable to buy, operate and maintain. Simple, reliable electric motors reduce maintenance costs by 90% compared to turboprops, and intelligent electronic monitoring reduces inspection needs. Most importantly, fuel costs go down by 50-75%.
