We are looking to hire a strategy consultant to be part of our growing footprint and presence in Mexico and the Americas. Mexico is Sweden’s second largest export market in Latin America and inhabits more than 100 Swedish companies. Sweden is one of the world’s most innovative countries within both heavy industries such as mining, transport, energy, and manufacturing and within the tech sectors of entertainment, fintech, circular economy, etc.

Business Sweden’s has a unique mandate to help Swedish companies grow global sales and international companies invest and expand in Sweden. We do this through trade promotion and business consulting activities. In practice, our consulting work is similar in type of assignments as large international strategy firms. We have the same analytical approach and methods, but our problem solving is dedicated to supporting the Swedish industry – management consulting with a higher purpose.

Working for Business Sweden is a varied job in which you will encounter many types of client and service. Work ranges from complex strategic deals to smaller operational projects and clients vary from multinationals to small family-owned businesses, and our job is truly high level to hands on. The common denominator is a truly international work environment.

Business Sweden has been active in Mexico since 2003 and our office is located in the heart of Mexico City, Polanco. Our office is also responsible for the markets in Central America and the Caribbean. We are part of Region Americas and collaborate closely with our colleagues in Canada, USA, Colombia, Brazil and Chile.

Skills & Requirements

  • You have a higher academic degree, probably a Master of Science in Business, Administration or/and Engineering
  • We believe you have a background as a management consultant and have working experience in managing projects or work streams for at least 2-3 years
  • You master core consulting skills, such as issue-tree problem solving, qualitative and quantitative facts gathering, communicating the “so what” in a storyboard and professionally visualizing it in presentations
  • A high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English and Spanish is a requirement
  • Previous experience from working outside of Mexico is meriting
