Test Technician - Poland

Northvolt is a European supplier of high-quality battery cells and systems, made in an environmentally sustainable way. The company was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest recycling capabilities.

In the plant located in Gdańsk we produce energy storage systems and battery modules that replace internal combustion engines in industrial machines. Currently Northvolt Poland is increasing its manufacturing capabilities by building a highly-automated, state-of-the-art production plant.

We are now looking for Electrical/Manufacturing Test Technician to join the Operations team in our Gdansk Factory. The primary purpose of this role is to deliver robust electrical testing facilities to support all products and to take enhance electrical test processes and procedures at Northvolt.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for executing, delivering and improving robust, productionised electrical/electronic testing solutions to support Northvolt’s products
  • Test equipment introduction
  • Implementation of electrical test facilities, processes and procedures
  • Link between Production Test and Engineering for new product developments, design changes, process changes and product diagnostics (development products, production & returns)
  • Responsible for diagnosing root causes and implementing corrective & preventative actions for product failures and returns

Skills & Requirements

  • Engineering degree (electronics, automation, robotics, mechatronics or similar)
  • Fluent in basics of Electronics
  • Good understanding of Power Electronics principles
  • Good understanding of Power Electronics and High Voltage safety principles
  • Real experience with CAN, Ethernet bus configuration and usage
  • Understanding of Embedded Programming principles
  • Experience with basic measurement instruments
  • Experience with modern application development using languages such as Python or similar will be BIG+
  • High level of competency on MS applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Very good English written and oral skills

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration.
