Scandic is expanding and looking for a Head of Guest Services & Vendor Manager with personnel responsibility to the headquarters in Stockholm!

This is a new role where you have great opportunities to influence! Overall, there is a great digitalization spirit at Scandic with a focus on more customized solutions & services during the customers journey – imagine that you can to all things via the app, from booking to check-out!

As Head of Guest Service & Vendor Manager you will be responsible for the services within your area, in this case services that Scandics customers use during their stay in hotels, all from e.g. telephony, wifi, keycards, digital signing to A/V. It is also your responsibility to ensure that the contracts related to the services are managed in the best and most cost-effective way. You have personnel responsibility and will work operationally as well as strategically - you ensure that the “Vendor Management Process” is followed within your own and other’s areas. Example of tasks;

  • Set a plan and budget for your area
  • Follow up execution of roadmaps within the area
  • Follow up and support the Vendor Management process
  • Design documentation that supports the procurement process
  • Review agreements with associated costs
  • Support supplier meetings in other areas
  • Relationship responsibility towards clients at group level
  • Follow-up’s & external monitoring, e.g. SLA fulfillment, new actors or products at the market etc.

Skills & Requirements

You are a senior person who has a lot of best practice to share regarding Vendor Management – to succeed in this role we see that you have process-oriented experience and has e.g. handled contracts at a strategic level, created vendor scorecard/dashboards, KPIs for delivery and has worked with quality and risks. You may have had a role as e.g. an IT Purchaser or a Contract Manager. Overall, purchasing is an interesting background. You are used to work according to ITIL and is fluent in Swedish and English.

To thrive in the role, you need to be flexible and adaptable, as the days are changing at Scandic. Further, you are a humble and pragmatic person who is able to step in and help out with tasks that might be outside your area of responsibility. You see yourself as a collaborator. Last but not least, you are social and communicative – as you will have contact with internal as well as external stakeholders, at different levels and within different areas.
