Your mission - setting up the new role

This job has its main focus on understanding the business needs and the customers in the HR Operations area, and with that broad understanding, create operational excellence supported by a roadmap with clear processes, shared service catalogue, KPI´s and SLA´s.

The HR organisation's job is to support and enable the business by attracting, engaging and retaining the right talents and whatever we do must have a clear objective and ROI for the business. We need to really understand the business needs in the HR operations area so we can develop user friendly and effective processes that supports through the employee life cycle. Part of your job will be to develop, maintain and evaluate processes and the results, all in close partnership with the representatives from the business units.

As HR Operations Development Manager for Schibsted, you’re a member of our HR Operations & Transformation management team. The HR Operations community is located at two sites, Stockholm and Oslo, and with close corporations with our sites in Finland and Poland.

A vital part of your role is managing the many different stakeholders and balancing the complexity of our global and decentralized organization while also driving change and harmonization/simplification. This takes both structure and deep engagement as you navigate across and collaborate with all our business units, brands and HR colleagues.

Your home office is in Stockholm or Oslo, and regular travel is included in your job. You report directly to SVP HR Operations & Transformation and work very closely together with HR Operations Delivery Manager who runs and develops the HR Operations team. You will also work closely together with E-tech with the role of knowing our HR Operations processes and business needs. Initially, you have no direct reporting staff.

Skills & Requirements

Your background

You have a true eye for user experience and love change, and your career includes successful experience from shared service center and strong stakeholder interactions. You’re also well acquainted with HR or business technology platforms and have an interest in understanding how we can evolve in the digital arena. As we’re a cross country organisation you naturally need advanced communication skills in English alongside fluent in Swedish or Norwegian. We want you to have a relevant academic degree.

You’re committed in reaching your targets together with the HR Operations team, and you join forces with relevant stakeholders to make a positive impact. Quite simply, you speak service, user centric and business from an operations perspective.
