The Stars work where the Northern Lights sleep and the Midnight Sun wakes up!

Scandic Destination Nordkapp is hiring chefs and cooks for our buffet, a la carte and breakfast restaurants for the 2020 summer season.
The destination includes Scandic Bryggen, a small intimate boutique hotel; Scandic Honningsvåg, a well-known landmark in Norway’s northernmost town Honningsvåg; Scandic Nordkapp, a huge tourist hotel in the middle of nature and Nordkapphallen, the visitor center at the very top of Europe - the North Cape Plateau.

We are looking for serviceminded team members who can help us give our approximately 280 000 visitors the very best experience.

We are looking for multiple team members in the following positions:

Sous Chef:
Sous Chefs to be the right hand of the Head Chefs at Scandic Honningsvåg, Scandic Nordkapp and Nordkapphallen

A la Carte Chef:
A la Carte Chefs for our restaurants at Nordkapphallen and Scandic Bryggen

Buffet Cook:
Buffet Cooks for our dinner buffets at Scandic Honningsvåg and Scandic Nordkapp

Breakfast Chef:
Breakfast Chefs for our Breakfasts at Scandic Bryggen, Scandic Honningsvåg, Scandic Nordkapp and Nordkapphallen

Skills & Requirements

As Scandic Destination Nordkapp is the host of visitors and team members from all over the world all team members must speak and write English. Applicants with oral skills in any Scandinavian language will be prioritized. Please also note any other language skills you have in your application.

All our team members involved in preparing food must adhere to the highest organizational, hygiene, health and safety standards. It is further required that you show the necessary competence and knowledge of catering to varying dietary requirements.

  • Previous experience in a similar role is required. As this is a fast paced and high pressure environment you must be able to keep in control and deliver the highest quality food, while maintaining enthusiasm, passion and communication.
  • Other requirements are dependent on position and available upon request.

All positions are seasonal starting in the period of early May to mid-June 2020, ending in the period of early August to mid-September 2020. The position will also require work in evenings, weekends and public holidays, dependent on position.
