Analytics is about connecting people to data. In Schibsted Analytics our vision is to “Enable all the people in our company to leverage any data in Schibsted” and we will head towards that by removing frictions between data and people throughout the company. Corporate leadership are no exception and just as we have great Insights and Analytics teams in our Brands and functions we are now looking to add the same capabilities to the Corporate level. Our Brands require analysis and reporting relevant and impactful to their particular business models, so does the Corporate level of Schibsted. The head of Corporate Insights will be tasked with understanding the requirements of this setting and staffing a small but impactful team accordingly.

The Role will report directly to the Director of Analytics and be part of the Schibsted Analytics leadership team. You will be expected to contribute both strategically and cross-functionally in that context but also operationally on performing and presenting analysis to stakeholders. A strong collaborative 360 approach balancing complexity and pragmatism will be required.

Things you will do

  • Establish and lead a central analytical team that collaborate across brands to ensure depth and alignment in analysis for the corporate perspective
  • Be the goto person for analytical questions and performance management data at the corporate level
  • Provide a continuously improving set of key dashboards and reports for top management
  • Drive a high level of data proficiency and practices across corporate functions leveraging common tools and data models
  • Operationally perform analysis on prioritized analytical questions from Schibsted Executive team
  • Gain an intimate understanding of our businesses and their data by building your personal network across both central functions and Brands
  • Seek out, define and answer analytical questions that support data driven decision making for corporate leadership and central functions
  • Hire for and oversee the development of highly relevant and impactful dashboards and reports for the executive team
  • Support and advice corporate management on data driven performance management
  • Be a key stakeholder for the Schibsted Common Analytical data Model and Common Analytical Platform
  • Day to day planning, coaching and enablement with team members
  • Be a member of the Schibsted Analytics leadership team contributing to the development of strategic direction and cross functional efforts

Who you are

  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex analytical topics effectively to business stakeholders
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage stakeholder expectations in complex environments
  • Strong commercial understanding, especially related to media and platform business models
  • Capable and efficient with practical descriptive and predictive data analysis.
  • Experience of developing and executing strategy in the data & analytics space
  • Experienced people manager and team builder
  • Strong project management skills and methodology toolbox
