Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a PLM Infrastructure Architect
to join our Digitization team in Stockholm.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

PLM at Northvolt is business critical to enable our goal in having a digital twin of our factories to simulate the setup and processes in fully automated production. Having control of all the factory information will be key when scaling and setting up new factories. PLM is also crucial to be able to manage our products IP in a controlled and secure way. The end goal is one single source for all the product and manufacturing information - a journey where we will want your help!

You will be in charge of the IT infrastructure setup and maintenance of the PLM system. You will work close with the PLM team to define long-term systems strategies and roadmaps.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS
  • Ensure the PLM system is operational 24x7 unless otherwise down for scheduled maintenance
  • Work with other IT colleagues to define long-term systems strategies and roadmaps
  • Assist PLM team with project schedules by identifying technical tasks and system dependencies
  • Install and configure Teamcenter (all layers, all modules, and interfaces & integrations, as needed) for all environments: development, QA & Production.
  • Continuously improve and optimize system architectural elements, such as FMS\FSC, Enterprise servers & pool managers, web servers, distribution, clients, translations servers, etc. for enhanced performance and scalability.
  • Monitor system regularly; ensure that the Teamcenter services & automated scripts scheduled on the server machines are properly running, Create and develop scripts or 3rd party solutions to enable effective system health monitoring.

Skills & Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or in lieu of a degree, experience within a similar role in this field.
  • 2+ years of Teamcenter PLM Server Administration experience
  • 5+ years of Database and/or Server administration experience

Specific Skills

  • Teamcenter DBA skillsets
  • Teamcenter PLM Architecture skills

  • Deployment of custom template, binaries, schema, client (OTW/Thin), T4S, TCRA

  • Tc 2-Tier, 4-Tier Client maintenance
  • Performing Tc upgrade installation (AIX and Windows)

  • SQL Cron jobs set-up and monitoring

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
