HR Director EMEA & LatAm

As Regional HR Director you will play a pivotal role in Accedo's growth and development in the EMEA and Latin America region, where we have employees in Sweden, the UK, Hungary, Spain, Chile, Brazil and Argentina. You will work closely with regional business leaders to create and deliver an effective regional HR strategy that supports our growth in the region, and are able to deliver professional and scalable HR support across our locations. On a global level, you work closely with the Head of HR&O and other HR Directors, and deliver own global projects and initiatives.

Some key work areas:

People management

  • Coaches team members in their respective roles and actively looks for development opportunities for them.
  • Provides guidance and support to team members, handles escalations, and ensures relevant global information reaches each team member

People & Company Performance

  • Translates global HR strategy to regional strategy & ensures implementation.
  • Deliver a cohesive Human Resource strategy for the region, that supports sustainable growth of Accedo.
  • Regionally responsible for delivering performance review cycle.
  • Develop and maintain succession plans for regional leadership.
  • Trains & coaches senior people managers on team management and other related matters.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in employee relations / disciplinary issues;.
  • Spots opportunities for regional organisational improvement / design and follows up with relevant stakeholders.

Talent acquisition and retention

  • Manages regional headcount plan, as agreed in quarterly QBR’s.
  • Trains hiring teams & senior leaders on effective recruitment / interviewing skills.
  • Identifies employer branding channels in designated countries in conjunction with Marketing and manage relations with regional recruitment suppliers.
  • Delivers hiring manager with offer proposals in designated countries.
  • Develop and execute on plan to improve retention in the region, including succession management for leadership roles.


  • Gathers market data of designated region on pay levels;.
  • Monitors annually equal pay for equal work and reports to regional mngt & Head of HR&O.
  • Handles compensation escalations that could not be handled by generalist.

Skills & Requirements

What do you bring?

  • Master degree in HR, business administration or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience. Some people management experience is a merit.
  • Experience in similar or related industry is preferred.
  • Proven working knowledge and experience with regional employment law and employee relations in multiple relevant countries.
  • Good understanding of employee engagement initiatives and ability to implement those successfully.
  • Actively proposes, initiates and completed process improvement activities.
  • Effectively deals with conflicting interests. Manages conflict and ambiguity effectively.
  • Effectively establishes internal relationships with regional stakeholders.
  • Solution oriented, knows how to find answers to issues that are encountered.
  • You understand as no other that unexpected things will come your way, and enjoy just that :-)

  • Fluency in English is required. Language skills in Swedish, Spanish or Hungarian are a great merit!
  • Occasional international travel is required.
  • And you have of course the required paperwork to legally reside and work in Sweden
